Record your favorite drinks with Cocktail Manager

After spending eight weeks upgrading their skill set, many of our graduates test out new technologies and add to their experience by creating apps that have been in the back of their mind for a while.

Josh Cunningham, Full-Stack JavaScript Development Accelerator graduate, decided to use his skills to bring a little more organization into his life. He create Cocktail Manager, an app that catalogues his favorite cocktail recipes.

“It was something I needed. I was maintaining a notebook and that just wasn’t cutting it for me.”

The app, created with Node.js, MondoDB, and jQuery, allows the user to create and categorize new recipes, or filter saved recipes with specific tags. Each cocktail recipe includes a title, list of ingredients, description, and step-by-step instructions.

Josh has a growing list of features he would like to add to the project, such as export options and multiple user accounts. He decided to make the project open source, saying, “I built it for myself and figured ‘Hey, others might like this as well.’”

If you would like to create your own Cocktail Manager, you can fork the repo.
